You can make your gift go further by having your employer match your gift to IRUSA Waqf.

What Is a Matching Gift?

Many companies match charitable gifts made by their employees, doubling or even tripling the value of your donation. Some companies even match gifts made by employees’ spouses or retirees.

As an individual, there is no additional cost to you, and the matching gift counts toward your total giving for that year.

How Does It Work?

First, make your gift to IRUSA Waqf as you normally would. Next, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift to:

Business Owners

If you are the owner of business, setting up your own corporate match program can be a great way to elevate your own capability of contributing to IRUSA Waqf.

You and your business will benefit in the following ways:
Branding: perception of your company and its products goes much deeper than a logo, and by giving you can brand your company as a leader in philanthropy
Philanthropy: Encourage employee philanthropy. Generous employees look good for overall company branding too. Microsoft, for instance, can boast that its employees raised over $1 billion dollars for charity since the inception of its giving program.
Company Morale: Matching increases employee morale and retention. It’s easy for employees to feel like a cog in a machine with no attachment to your workplace, but a company that takes interest in charities which its employees support is more likely to gain their respect as well.
Tax Benefits of Matching Gifts: As with most charitable giving, matched employee donations are often deductible for up to 10% of the company’s taxable annual income.

How Does It Work?

Setting up a match program is quite easy and typically involves only three steps:
• Choosing a charity(ies) that you like to benefit.
• Informing the beneficiary charities of your intent to match gifts.
• Applying a minimum or maximum to the employee gift(s) that the Company will match. The most common minimum amount that companies will match is $25, though minimum matches range from $1 – $100. Maximums typically range from $1,000 to $15,000. The majority of companies match donations at a 1:1 ratio, although ratios can be set at anything from 0.5:1 ($0.50 match on every dollar donated) to 4:1 ($4 match on every dollar donated).
